The Flooring Guy - Marcel Knittel

Since I was first part of this industry as an apprentice in the late 1970's, there have been many changes in the types of flooring available for our Homes and Commercial spaces.

We used to cover up all of the old hardwood in homes with carpet, and vinyl flooring used to be the preferred flooring for kitchens, bathrooms and laundry areas. Today, a growing number of homeowners and business owners want the warm feeling of natural materials for their families, so we are using hardwood, cork, stone and tile.

Even carpet and vinyl are changing though, as manufacturers are producing products with more sustainable / recyclable materials and less toxins.
